Jamaica is the largest English-speaking Island in the Caribbean and the third largest overall. The island spans 4,411 square miles with a population size of 2.8 million people.
The island landscape is lush with verdant hills and valleys, a rich and exotic plant and animal life, meandering rivers and streams surrounded by the blue Caribbean Sea with its beautiful white sand beaches and busy bustling harbours along the shoreline. The people are from a diverse ethnic mix, but unite together with the national motto “Out of Many One People”. Jamaica is renowned for its superb pulsating Reggae music, championed by the global music legend and icon Bob Marley, outstanding sportsmen and women, scholars and political leaders among other distinguishing accomplishments in other fields.
Kingston is the capital and largest of two (2) cities in Jamaica, Montego Bay being the other, and is located on the southeastern coast of the island. Kingston is the dynamic centre of government, industry and entertainment in the country.
