Day 1 Panel Discussion:
The General Divide - How to Get Multi-Generations to Work Effectively with One Another

Ava Whyte Anderson currently serves as Programme Analyst- Capacity Development at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Jamaica. In this role she analyses political, social and economic trends and participates in the formulation, management and evaluation of the programme activities of the country office, which follow an integrated and inclusive approach. She is also the lead programme implementer of a team of five (5) in the Programme Unit who work in synergies to deliver results to the country office under an integrated program approach.


Prior to working at the UNDP, she served as Manager-Customised Programmes Delivery and Administration. During her tenure at MIND she had responsibility for managing the Agency’s portfolio of organisational, as well as, learning and development projects both locally and regionally. She also led the annual MIND Give’s Back Initiative which was geared towards fulfilling the Agency’s Corporate Social Responsibility mandate under the MINDReach product line.


Her passion to serve her community has resulted in her leading several philanthropic endeavours within her church and community; all geared at providing assistance to children and adults towards furthering their education. She has also been a volunteer of the Jamaica Red Cross over the past five (5) years and is a member of the Caymanas Country Club Estate Citizen’s Association where she serves as Deputy Chairperson for the Social and Welfare Committee. She is also an active member of the Covenant City Church. In 2011, she was awarded the Governor General’s Achievement
