M. Audrey Hinchcliffe is the Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Caribbean Health Management Consultants Ltd. (CHMC) her first business entity, followed by the establishment of Manpower & Maintenance Services Limited and its Subsidiaries comprising the Institute for Workforce Education & Development Ltd. (IWED), Manpower & Maintenance Services Placement Agency Ltd. (MMSPA), and Manpower & Maintenance Services Foundation.

 

Prior to the start of her entrepreneurial endeavors, Mrs. Hinchcliffe boasts an illustrious career in health-care and education spanning the post of Registered Nurse in Hospitals and Occupation Health in Jamaica, through the ranks of nursing specializations, to Nursing Administration, Hospital Administration and Educator from New York to Florida, USA. From a successful health-care profession in the USA, she was recruited by the Caribbean Community Secretariat (CARICOM) in Guyana (1982), where she served over six (6) years as the first Health Development Officer for the then seventeen (17) member states of CARICOM before returning to Jamaica to begin her foray into business (1988).

Mrs. Hinchcliffe is the Author and Publisher of Taking Care: A Manual for Medical Office Administrators. (Self-Published 1988)

She holds a Master of Science Degree in Health Administration from Long Island University, New York, a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Community Health from St. Francis College, Brooklyn, New York, and a Certificate in Health Economics from the University of York in the United Kingdom. She is a Registered Nurse trained at the University Hospital of the West Indies, School of Nursing, a graduate of Excelsior High School, Fitz Henley Commercial School for Typing, Shorthand and Book keeping and The Bohemia Elementary School, where she passed First and Second Jamaica Local Examinations prior to attending Excelsior High School, where she passed the Senior Cambridge Examination.

Mrs. Hinchcliffe was on March 29, 2006 conferred with the honour of the Order of Distinction, Commander Class (CD) in recognition of her Entrepreneurial Enterprise and Leadership in Employer/Employee Relationships.

Commissioned as a Justice of the Peace (JP) in December 2012.
Mrs. Hinchcliffe was invited by US Secretary of State, Hillary Rodham Clinton, to serve on the US Department of State’s International Council on Women’s Business Leadership (ICWBL) commencing August 2011 and was re-appointed August 2014.

Commendations and Awards include:

  • In November 2014 she was awarded the Caribbean Woman Investor of the Year. She is the Ernst & Young Caribbean Entrepreneur of the Year for Services (2003)
  • Florida Business Leader – Female Award 2015
  • In October 2014, Rotary Club of New Kingston’s Gary Grant Vocational Service Award (2014)
  • Kiwanis Club of New Kingston’s Award of Excellence in Celebration of Women (2002).
  • Business Leader - Female Award 2011, Florida International University (FIU)
  • JIM/Gleaner Manager of the Year 2008 and was inducted as a Fellow of the Jamaican Institute of Management.
  • Business Leader of the Year 2005, Florida International University (FIU)
  • Business Observer - Families in Business 2010 and Business Leader of the Year 2001.

  • Board Member of Allied Insurance Brokers Limited (A Grace Kennedy Company)
  • Chairman of Jamaica Foundation for Lifelong Learning (JFLL) an agency of the Ministry of Education
  • Hardware & Lumber main board and  was Chairman of the Corporate Governance Committee and member of the Audit Committee
  • Director of Grace Kennedy Limited Main Board 2004-2012
  • Chairman Hilo Food Stores 2006 – 2012
  • President of the Jamaica Employers’ Federation 2004-2008
  • Deputy Chairman of the Tourism Enhancement Fund (TEF)
  • First Chairman of the Board of Medecus Health Insurance Company, A former Grace Kennedy Company.
  • Chairman of the Jamaica Business Council on HIV/AIDS (JaBCHA)
  • Chairman of the Nursing Council of Jamaica (11 years)

She also enjoys the distinction of being among:

Mrs. Hinchcliffe is the mother of two (2) children – Garth, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Manpower & Maintenance Services Limited and Dr. Annette Hinchcliffe-Moseley, MD., a Pediatrician and a Partner, Georgetown Pediatric Group, Atlanta, Georgia.
